USA Announcement

The Town of Agawam is pleased to announceUSA Waste and Recycling of Enfield, CT has been awarded a 5 year contract to service the residents of Agawam beginning Tuesday, July 1st.  There will be no change in the collection schedule.   Residents will continue to receive weekly trash and every other week recycling collection on the same day they are currently serviced.  Route Schedules will be available soon on line at www.agawam.ma.us , as well as mailed to all eligible residents before July 1st.

As a reminder, there will be one yard waste pick up during the month of June. Residents should have their yard waste out on their scheduled recycling collection day on the following weeks:

B Week: June 16-20

A Week: June 23-24

Bulk collection services will no longer be limited.   Residents will be able to schedule a bulk collection, with a fee attached per item, at any time.

“Although residents are now required to pay per bulk item, we were able to increase the frequency of bulk collections for residents” stated Mayor Christopher Johnson. “We hope that residents will responsibly dispose of their bulk household items by utilizing USA services or a private hauler of their choice.”

All contact information and fee per bulk item will be available online in the coming weeks.

The Department of Public Works would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience through what we are expecting to be a seamless transition.
