On Friday, April 3, 2020 Governor Baker signed into law Chapter 53 of the Acts of 2020. Mayor William P. Sapelli is therefore announcing 4th quarter fiscal year 2020 real estate tax and personal property tax payments are now due by June 1, 2020. The due date for payment is June 1, 2020 even if the due date on your previously mailed real estate tax and/or personal property tax bill is May 1, 2020. Please note, even if municipal offices are closed on June 1, 2020 the due date for payment is not further extended beyond June 1, 2020.
For those of you who have already made your 4th quarter tax payments, thank you. For those of you who are able to make your 4th quarter tax payments prior to June 1st, we encourage you to do so.
- We encourage all payments be made by mail using the envelopes enclosed with the bills.
Payments can also be made online via the Collector’s Office pay website link: unipaygold.unibank.com Payment methods available online include checks (e check), credit cards and debit cards. The fee for a check is $0.25. Credit cards and debit cards are subject to the fee schedule found on the website. Payment fees are charged by the payment processing companies, not by the Town of Agawam.
- As a last resort you may pay by mailing to Town Hall at: Town of Agawam, Collectors’ Office, 36 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. Payments can be made by check or money order using the drop box near the entrance to Town Hall.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please call (413) 786-0400. At this time Agawam Town Hall remains closed to the public.
As stated earlier in my March 29, 2020 message, the Town of Agawam will be waiving penalties and interest on tax bills until June 30, 2020.
