In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the orders from Gov. Baker, the Agawam Police Department will be making the following changes for the foreseeable future in an effort to keep our dispatchers and officers healthy:
-All in-person application processing for LTC’s and FID’s will be suspended until further notice. Please go to mass.gov/firearms-services to obtain an application which can then be mailed to the police department. Arrangements will be made at a later date for photo and fingerprinting.
-Any requests for police reports can also be made via mail or email. Please mail a request for information to the Records Bureau or email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
-Questions regarding LTC/FID or police reports can be addressed through the Records Bureau at 786-4767 ext. 8606. The police department mailing address is 681 Springfield St., Feeding Hills, MA 01030.
-Anyone needing to file a police report for Theft, Theft from a Car, or Vandalism can do so by utilizing the Citizen Online Police Reporting System which can be found on the Town of Agawam webpage (www.agawam.ma.us) under the Police Department Tab.
-UNLESS IT IS AN EMERGENCY, please do not come to the police department for routine business if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
-If you are sick with flu-like symptoms and need to call an ambulance, please let the operator know that you are experiencing these symptoms so that proper precautions can be taken.
In closing, please know that we are still here, fully staffed, 24/7. We are responding to all calls and emergencies. No citizen will be denied police services.
