RE: CLOSURE FOR HVAC REPAIRS
Library Offerings and Access During the Closure
The Agawam Public Library will be closing at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 to allow for repairs to the HVAC system.
Although the library building will not reopen until Friday, July 14th at 9 a.m., we continue to offer digital services through our streaming platforms.
Library users have access to many resources for academic and entertainment purposes. Visit https://www.agawamlibrary.org/research/databases-2/ or https://www.agawamlibrary.org/research/ebooks-streaming/ to get started. Simply log in with your Agawam Public Library card number and pin. If you cannot remember, or need to reset your pin, go to: https://bark.cwmars.org/eg/opac/password_reset, please know that this process takes up to 30 minutes to issue the password reset email. You can also apply for a CW Mars eCard by clicking on https://www.cwmars.org/card. The eCard will give you access to all of Agawam’s digital resources.
Most of our streaming services are available as apps for mobile devices. Download from the Apple Apps Store or Google Play Store. Libby has thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Hoopla is another great source for eBooks, audiobooks, TV, movies, and music. Kanopy is a streaming film service that offers thousands of films, documentaries, and shorts from producers in the U.S. and around the world.
The library book drops will be closed and locked during this repair. Please hang on to your library items until we re-open. The library is fine free, so you will not have overdue fees due to the closure. While the building is closed, our phone system is un-staffed.
