The Agawam Water Department will be flushing water mains in the area around North Agawam on August 12, 2021 from approximately 8AM to 4PM. Please avoid using water between these hours to avoid discolored water. The water is safe to use but may stain laundry.
When you resume using water, if you notice discolored water, please run your bath tub on cold for approximately 10 to 15 minutes for it to clear. If your hot water is discolored, shut it off and run the cold water until clear, then run the hot water to flush out the hot water tank.
