| Leaf and Yard Waste Collection Services |
Leaves and Yard Waste include:
Grass clippings, Leaves, Weeds, Garden Materials, Shrub Trimmings and Brush or Limbs.
Brush or limbs may be no larger than 3" in diameter, tied in bundles no greater than 3 feet in length and weighing no more than 50lbs.
Leaves and Yard Waste may be disposed of in one of two ways.

Leaves and Yard Waste will be collected curbside: 2 Spring Collections, 4 Fall Collections.
Collection dates are indicated on the collection schedules.

Materials must be placed in 30-gallon, 2-ply Kraft paper bags ONLY.
"Biodegradable Plastic" bags are not accepted.
- Drop Off
Leaves and Yarde Waste may be dropped off at Bondis Island Landfill off route 5 in Agawam.
All Agawam Residents are required to obtain Yard Waste Drop-off Passes at the Department of Public Works Office. (No Charge)
A drivers license verifying residency and a vehicle registration are required at the time of pass pick up! Each pass will allow one entrance to the yard waste drop off facility. Upon entering the yard waste facility, the gate keeper will collect the pass from Agawam resident.
Please note, no commercial or business vehicles will be allowed to enter the yard waste facility!!
The Department of Public Works has the right to limit the number of passes allocated per household, per year.
Bondis Island Yard Waste Regulations
Hours of Operations: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:15pm
Saturdays (seasonal) - call for current hours of operation.
COMPOST BINS are available for purchase, while supplies last, at the DPW Office M-F 8:30am-4:30pm
