Procedure to obtain a marriage license in Massachusetts:
You must apply in person and together to file the intention of marriage. This can be done in any town or city clerk's office in any community in the state of Massachusetts.
There is a mandatory three (3) day waiting period, not counting the day the intention is filed.
A marriage license, once obtained, is valid for sixty (60) days from the date the intention is filed and may be used in any city or town in Massachusetts.
The fee is $15.00 in Agawam, Massachusetts.
Your must know the full names of parents including mother's maiden name and the correct spelling.
You must present a document with your name and social security number. This could be:
1.) Social security card
2.) Drivers license
3.) Health card
4.) Pay stub
5.) Tax form
